This version of "Loose Ends" is modified from another version of "Loose Ends" in that several tracks that are on regular-issue CDs are removed. These include the three "Meltdown" remixes which are on the "Meltdown & Meltdown Remixes" CD, and the "This Disco (Used To Be A Cute Cathedral)" remix and three songs that were new to the "The Best We Could Find [+3 That Never Escaped]" CD.
The tracks were removed because, what with being readily available on Steve Taylor's full-length albums, they are not particularly rare.
In addition, remaining tracks that were available on CD have been re-ripped with Exact Audio Copy.
- Tracks 1-8: Transfer of the complete vinyl-only live album "Limelight", Sparrow SPR 1118, 1985.
- Track 9: CD > EAC > SHN from the Continental Singers CD "Together We Will Stand", Christian Artists Records CRD 6013, 1985.
- Track 10: Transfer from the vinyl-only 12" single "Trans-Atlantic Remixes", duet with Sheila Walsh, Sparrow SPR 1107, 1985.
- Track 11: CD > EAC > SHN from the compilation "Christmas", Sparrow SPD 1176, 1988.
- Track 12: CD > EAC > SHN from the compilation "Adventures in the Land of Big Beats & Happy Feets", Myrrh 7016893618, 1989.
- Track 13: CD > EAC > SHN (a trailing lead-in to the track that followed on the original CD has been removed), recorded live, October 18th, 1994, in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and is "100% free of any additives or overdubs." From the compilation "Demonstrations of Love", PRISM/ESA Records, 1997.
- Track 14: CD > EAC > SHN from the compilation "Roaring Lambs", Squint Entertainment (R.I.P.) 080688602925, 2000.
- Track 15: CD > EAC > SHN from the soundtrack to "Pump Up The Volume", MCA Records MCAD-8039, 1990.
- Track 16: CD > EAC > SHN from the UK-only three-track CD single for "Violent Blue", MCA Records MCSTD 1619, 1991/92.
- Track 17: CD > EAC > SHN from the compilation "Strong Hand of Love: A Tribute to Mark Heard", Myrrh 701697961X, 1994.
